I'm angry. It's not about class. It's not about school or paying tuition or any of that business.
It's Spider-man. I'm angry about him. No, it's not about the deal with the devil to get rid of his marriage, as stupid as it was. Although people at the comic shop give me strange looks whenever I buy Spider-man these days......
Behold! The true victim of the Disney/Marvel merger!
[link]Damn, that's catchy.
I LOVE THIS SHOW. I always remember getting all those toys for the old animated series. I loved those things. And whenever the show came on television, I was always disappointed. The old show from the 90's always had Spider-man get his ass handed to him every five minutes. "Some hero" was what I always thought whenever I watched Spider-man get beat up for the umpteenth time. Not to mention the damn LASER GUNS. I always thought it so stupid if the Batman series could have guns, why couldn't the Spider-man one have them as well? But, I digress
There are many reasons for me to love it, namely:
1. The lanky-looking hero. Seriously, guy looks like he's taken right from Steve Ditko's pencils.
2. The supporting cast is actually portrayed well. Including the waste-of-space Aunt May. I was always so tired of her being the usless old woman whom Peter has to protect and OH MY GOD IM BORED FROM TALKING ABOUT HER ALREADY.
3. Gwen Stacy.......It's personal.
4. The show realizes Spider-man has more than five villains. They actually used guys like Molten Man and The Tinkerer.
5. The plot is a sweet love-child of everything awesome about Spider-man, including the first two movies, the first 30- some issues of the comics by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, and Ultimate Spider-man.
For those who don't know, the distribution rights were originally left to WB. Well, the news hit in the middle of season 2 that Disney owns Marvel. WB was forced to fork over the rights to the show back to Marvel. Luckily, the Disney channels and Nickelodeon (I dont get it either) are still airing the rest of Season 2. The original plan for Season 3 was to wait for the ratings for the show to come in, but since the merger, there's literally been no news on the subject.
I know cartoons are only destined to burn out, but not after just two seasons. That's just not fair. I have something that I've always wanted and I appreciate the damn novelty of it all, finally. It was good and fun and now I'm angry. There was even a damn opera-themed episode with a gigantic brawl in an actual theater--You cant beat that.
I hate to see it go. Any fan of cartoons or comics should see it. It wont even take them that long compared to other shows. I'm just so angry and sad.
Well, if the show continued, we probably would have gotten THIS:

First I whip it out!
Then I thrust it!
With great force!
Every angle....It penetrates!
Until....with great strength!
I....RAM IT IN!
In the end, we\'re all satisfied...
And you are set free...

You don't like it.
I understand.
